September事务所近日为Tacofino餐厅设计了其位于温哥华西街4号的最新分店，将一个次要的街道层空间改造为令人耳目一新的用餐空间。

September has designed the newest Tacofino location located on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver BC, transforming the sub street-level space into a refreshing casual dining experience.

客户希望打造一个与加拿大冲浪小镇Tofino具有相似氛围的空间（Tofino是餐厅主人曾经生活和创业的地方）。设计师采用了尽可能简约的材料来展现当地的自然特征。此外，由于部分空间受上层楼面影响导致层高较低，因此室内的照明是一个关键的挑战。

The client had requested a fresh space that made reference to Tofino, the Canadain Surf town where the clients live and started the business. To do this we focused on using the minimal amount of materials necessary to make reference to the natural features the area is known for. Because the space is partly below grade, with low ceilings, the lighting was a key challenge.

设计概念以实用性和自然材料的使用为核心，迎合了当地的环境和经济条件。2×4的漆面雪松木板围绕着长椅、水吧以及服务台的上方。裸露的管道和发条式的灯具自然地勾勒出波浪般的造型，呼应了餐厅主人的家乡环境以及根植于Tofino的餐厅历史。墙壁上的菜单、卵形镜子、定制的沙滩石桌面和艺术品均展现出对水和其他自然元素的引用。

The concept for the location was developed around a base of utilitarian and natural materials that make reference to the local environment and economy. Painted slatted cedar 2×4’s wrap around the banquette and water station as well as above the service counter. Exposed conduit and keyless lamp fixtures are laid out to lightly trace the shape of a wave barrelling over the room making a subtle nod to the owner’s hometown and the restaurants roots in Tofino. References to water and natural forms appear in the wall menu, ovoid mirrors, custom beach stone tabletops, and artwork.
