O PR and Communications Manager
CLOU architects is looking for a unique, motivated and highly collaborative individual to join our team as PR and Communications Manager in Beijing. You will work as part of the directors’ team to develop, write and identify compelling stories and manage social media platforms (WeChat, Instagram & LinkedIn), execute award submissions, communications initiatives as well as coordinating photography shoots.
What you will work on in this interesting and varied role:
Social Media
• Building, executing and growing CLOU’s WeChat, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts to enhance visibility and to drive engagement
• Developing posting calendars to each social media audience
• Working closely with directors on website content and assist in developing narratives for a new ‘knowledge’ section of the website which will function as an anchor for CLOU’s social media content
• Training and coaching of staff on social media platforms
Communications
• Coordinating and scheduling of photo shoots
• Liaising with journalists to pitch projects for publication and negotiate coverage
• Maintaining website content up to date
• Working closely with directors and staff members to complete special projects, plan events and elevate the quality of our efforts
Awards
• Preparing awards submissions and liaising with awards organisers on submissions, awards visits, presentations as well as academic and commercial lectures
• Targeting major international and domestic awards in architecture, design and creative fields
• Editing and approving award content and narratives while managing expectations of design staff and overall award workload
Your Qualifications
• Qualifications in Design, Art, Advertising, Media, Literature or related disciplines
• 2-5 years of professional experience in PR and an awareness of marketing and communications principles as applies to creative businesses
• Working knowledge of social media for creative businesses (WeChat, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest etc.)
• Strong communication skills in person, through phone or by email
• Professional attitude and a friendly and proactive team player
• A creative flair for written English and Mandarin
• Creative nature with strong proven graphic skills and an eye for composition
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs
• Experience in video editing software a plus
• Strong time management and coordination skills. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently

O Business Development Manager
CLOU architects is looking for a unique, motivated and highly collaborative individual to join our team as Business Development Manager in Beijing. You will work as part of the directors’ team to actively research and acquire potential projects in China and worldwide.
Job description
• Develop business development calendar programme.
• Search, identify and engage new client opportunities.
• Lead market research to grasp industry trends, study company advantages, development direction, and compare with peer companies.
• Research contact details for BD purposes. Register prospective client information and ongoing project progress in writing.
• Attend and/or plan and execute business development activities, eg. Workshops, lectures, talks, networking events.
• Develop quotation strategies for new projects, participate in bidding and contract negotiations.
• Assist with the creation of fee proposals.
• Prepare regular status updates and host weekly market meeting.
Your profile
• Degree in Business, or related area. Designer, Urban or Real Estate backgrounds shall also be considered.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in BD. Experience in the design industry is preferred.
• Affinity with market research in architecture.
• Awareness of marketing and communications in businesses.
